Evergreen Acres

So for those of you that don't know, or haven't figured it out yet, I like to live the simple life. What I can I make. I know whats going into it, and its fun to say I made this. Things like this are becoming a lost art, people would rather pay than to learn.
Sneak peak at life here on the farm

So around October of last year, my husband left work a couple weeks for work, I was at home with the next several days off, it was snowing... hard, and I was just sitting here on the couch drinking my coffee, burning a candle admiring how long this candle has burned compared to the others I usually have. So I began reading. Turns out that soy wax, not only is it natural, doesn't leave a black residue on the containers (or your walls), but it burns a LONG time.

I went a head and ordered a small batch of times to make a few at home. Why not right? To be honest I spent less ordering all the items to make the candles than I would have had I bought the candles at the store. Its a win/win right? I bought a couple glass cups with awesome patterns at my local Salvation Army for less than $0.50 a piece and poured my first set of candles.  They were amazing. They burned for months. I'm being totally serious, the candles I made in October, lasted me until January this year. I burn them a lot too! I was totally impressed. I wanted to share this with others. Not only that but because they last so long, 1lb of wax and 1oz of scent would literally last me months. So I wanted to come up with a way that I could still make these, try new scents and not end up with a million candles sitting on the shelf.

EVERGREEN ACRES was born.
